Monksleigh was initially commissioned by Fornax to undertake a market appraisal of the UK’s current clinical and hazardous waste market and the evaluation of potential future sites

However, following completion of the report and the findings within it, Monksleigh were subsequently asked by the client to support their planning consultants with a ‘need argument’ to make a planning application for a small-scale high temperature incinerator in the northeast of England (which was subsequently granted).

During the time that Monksleigh have been working with Fornax we have produced several data-led high level market reports assessing UK waste arisings and the shifting capacity gap for these specialist waste streams.
