Wikiwaste - the free collaborative Waste, Resources and Recycling online encyclopaedia.

Created by Monksleigh, Wikiwaste is a free, collaborative online encyclopaedia. It has been developed with the objective of sharing knowledge and information on the UK waste, resources, and recycling market.

Originally, it germinated from the need to make life easier for us, at Monksleigh. Initially, it was a depository for the consolidation and collection of data which we'd gathered over the years from the various data sources.

Today, Wikiwaste is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee (WikiWaste Limited) with ongoing support and data management from Monksleigh.

It is a fully grown encyclopaedia, containing more than 2,500 pages of data, facts, figures and insights and it is still growing. The data to support the site is taken from the latest set of the EA's Waste Data Interrogator Tool, DEFRA statistics, and Waste Data Flow as well as Monksleigh's databases. It is updated shortly after the figures are released from their respective sources.

Based on the Wikipedia platform, Wikiwaste contains all the vital information you need about the Resources, Waste and Recycling industry operating throughout the UK. Fully interactive and collaborative, Wikiwaste is a great reference tool, which you can help to further improve by becoming a trusted editor and adding factual content in your area of expertise.

One of the most visited sections on WikiWaste is the Residual Waste EFW page which details each of the facilities currently in operation or under construction in the UK alongside a UK-wide map outlining their location. 'Clicking' on the facility will take you to each sites' individual page, which provides overarching operational information and its list of LA users.

All this information is made available freely, and you can refer to it quickly and easily by clicking on the Wikiwaste button on the top-bar.

If you like what you see why not become involved in sponsoring a page? This will help us to continue with its maintenance and on-going development. All the information is available on the "Donate" tab in Wikiwaste.
